Clarity Stamps - Christmas Round and Stencil


Clarity Stamps – Dove Round and Leaf Stencil – Maria Moorhouse – July 17 2018

Hello and thank you for visiting my blog. Below are a number of examples using the Dove Round and Wreath stencil in conjunction or separately as I wished to show that they are not just for Christmas.

Example 1

Have Yourself a Merry Christmas!
Materials:-
Stencil
·         Leaf Wreath
Stamps:-
·         Tina’s Flowers
·         Jayne’s Postcard Framer – sentiment
Ink Pads:-
Archival
·         Black
Artistry
·         Dry Weed
Miscellany – Micron pen, colouring pencils, twine, self-adhesive gems
Instructions:-
1.       Cut Stencil card to measure 5.5ins x 5.5ins. Secure stencil centrally.
2.       Blend/brush Dry Weed over stencil. Add extra depth to edges by sponging ink remaining on stencil.
3.       Add dots and lines to leaves using Micron pen.
4.        Stamp chosen image from ‘Tina’s Flowers’ onto book page six times using Archival Black. Colour. Cut out. Form into three flowers.
5.       Tie three bows using twine. Add to wreath and place flowers on top.

Christmas Wishes
Materials:-
Stamps:-
Best Wishes Sentiments – STA-WO-10074-A5
Happy Birthday Sentiments – STA-WO-10557-A5
Ink Pads:-
Artistry
·         Dry Weed
·         Amazon Trail
·         Avocado
·         Mellow Green
·         Blaze
Archival
·         Carnation Red
Card/Paper:-
·         Stencil
·         Designer Card -
Instructions:-
1.       Secure stencil to stencil card with low tack tape.
2.       Blend ink over stencil. Set aside.
3.       Repeat on other sheets of stencil card and cut fronds out leaving a white border. Glue fronds in a circular mode around stencilled image, working towards centre.
4.       Attach to Rainbow River card and trim.  
5.       Clean stencil, secure to another sheet of stencil card and blend Blaze over. Cut out six pairs of fronds.
6.       Glue to centre of wreath to form flower. Add gem to centre. Sprinkle glitter around circumference of gem.
7.       Stamp sentiment.
8.       Attach to card blank.  

 Example 3

Love and Best Wishes
Materials:-
Stamps:-
·         Dove
·         Love and Best Wishes sentiment
Ink Pads:-
Archival
·         Black
Card/Paper:-
·         Theuva
·         Black/white from stash
Instructions:-
1.       Cut patterned card to measure 14cm x 14cm. Score from top to bottom at 4cm and 8cm.
2.       Mountain fold at 4cm and valley fold at 8cm.
3.       Trim 3cm from foot of card – score lines remaining vertical.  Stamp parts of sentiment onto a strip of Theuva card and attach to strip. Set aside.
4.       Stamp Doves once onto white side of card, again onto black side of card and once onto Theuva card.
5.       Cut out heads from Theuva image and glue onto image stamped onto white card. Cut wings from black image and paper piece onto white image.
6.       Cut out leaving a narrow border. Attach to black card and cut around leaving a narrow border. Attach to mountain fold of card.
7.       Stamp sentiment and add.
8.       Add strip to foot of card, with folds at opposite sides.
9.       Add embellishments.

Love and Happiness
Stamps:-
·         Dove
·         Mini Word Chains
Stencil:-
·         Leaf Wreath
Inks
Artistry:-
·         Camel Safari
·         Earth Song
·         Cinnamon Tea
Archival:-
·         Sepia
·         Black
Card/Paper:-
·         Stencil
·         Patterned (from stash)
Instructions:-
1.       Cut stencil card to measure 5.5ins x 5.5ins.
2.       Attach stencil over one corner of card. Blend Camel Safari though two sets of fronds.
3.       Turn card 90 degrees and repeat in this corner. Continue until all corners are stencilled.
4.       Stencil frond in each corner. Edge card with toning alcohol marker.
5.       Attach stencil to second sheet of card. Blend over Cinnamon Tea. Trim around edge leaving a narrow white border. Stamp sentiment in centre. Attach to centre of card with foam pads.
6.       Stamp Doves onto patterned card twice. Cut out doves from one and wings from second. Attach to card.
7.       Layer onto patterned paper and add to card blank.

This is a late addition - stamped on shaving foam background, rainbow-coloured fronds and Mini Word Chain.

Clarity Stamps – ‘Love’ – Maria Moorhouse - Hochanda – July 11 2018
Hello and welcome to my blog; a quick introduction as time is not on my side at the moment. Although my examples follow a similar theme - not my usual trademark - I got a bit carried away pairing up stamps with the words. 
I hope the ideas are useful.

Example 1
Love Will Keep Us Together
Materials:-
Stamps:-
·         ‘Love’
·         Fly Away
·         Flutterby

Groovi Plates

Card/Paper:-
·         Rainbow River
·         Barb’s Favourite Parchment + Parchment Off-cuts
Miscellany:-
·         Twine – black; Colouring Pencils; self-adhesive Gems; Black Micron Pen
Instructions:-
1.       Stamp ‘Love’ on paler side of parchment. Colour on reverse with chosen colouring medium.
2.       Mask butterflies on ‘Flutterby’ stamp, ink with Archival Black, remove mask and stamp below the ‘E’ of ‘Love.’
3.       Stamp hearts from ‘Love’ set above ‘E,’ draw in balloon strings using black Micron pen and colour on reverse side.
4.       Mask birds on ‘Fly Away’ stamp, ink with Archival Black and stamp boy at top edge of ‘L.’
5.       Stamp ‘will keep us together’ above boy’s hand. Add chosen image from featured stamp set at end of stamped phrase to create ribbons. 
6.       Emboss top left and bottom right corners chosen from Cosmos plate. Add areas of embossing to stamp areas.
7.       Emboss flowers from ‘Tree’ plate, cut out and add to front.
8.       Mat onto Rainbow River paper then onto card blank. Add twine bows.

Example 2
Birthday Love
Materials:-
Stamps:-
·         ‘Love’
·         ‘Birthday’
Ink Pads:-
·         Archival Black
Card/Paper:-
Designer Paper:-
·         Northern Lights
White
Pink Mirror, Lilac Mirror
Colouring Pencils
Self-adhesive glitter gems
Instructions:-
1.       Stamp ‘Birthday’ at top left of designer paper and ‘Love’ at bottom right.
2.       Stamp tangle from ‘Love’ set below ‘t’ and ‘d.’
3.       Colour letters.
4.       Layer onto card followed by card blank.
5.       Add gems.

Example 3
Dream Lover
Materials:-

·         ‘Love’
·         ‘Dream’
Ink Pads:-
·         Archival Black
Card/Paper:-
Designer Paper:-
·         Indian Summer
Designer Card:-
·         Shenandoah
Miscellany:- Colouring Pencils, Buttons, Fibres, Sakura Clear Star pen
Instructions:-
1.       Stamp ‘Dream’ onto Designer Paper. Stamp ‘Love’ below. Mask ‘D’ and ‘e’ on ‘Dream’ stamp, ink then stamp ‘r’ at end of ‘Love.’
2.       Add a variety of ‘Tangles’ to suit.
3.       Colour letters.
4.       Add dots using Sakura Clear Star pen.
5.       Layer onto card and card blank and add button embellishment.

Example 4

Love You to the Moon
Materials:-
Stamps:-
·         ‘Love’
·         ‘You Hung the Moon’
Ink Pads:-
·         Archival Black
Card/Paper:-
Designer Card:-
·         Shenandoah
Self-adhesive Gems, White colouring pencil, Black Micron pen
Instructions:-
1.       Stamp ‘Love’ at bottom left of Designer card.
2.       Mask moon and girl from ‘You Hung the Moon’ stamp and ink stamp with Archival Black. Stamp step-ladder image allowing ladder legs to rest on ‘l’ and ‘o.’
3.       Stamp phrase from top of ladder-person’s hand.
4.       Mask ‘ladder-person’ and ink stamp as before. Stamp moon and girl at end of sentiment.
5.       Stamp heart flourish onto top of ‘L.’
6.       Add tangle to girl’s foot.
7.       Doodle inside letters with Micron pen.
8.       Add white highlights and gems.
