Clarity Stamps - 'The Earth Listens' Pair of Dies

Clarity Stamps - Hochanda - 16th January 2019 - Maria Moorhouse

One of each and a mixture of both - all from today's shows!

Card/Paper:-

·         Card Blank – 1 x 7” x 7” – white
·         Matte Black
·         Bronze Textured Paper
·         White pearlescent

Miscellany:-

·         Gold Foil

Instructions:-

1.       Cut, emboss and foil white pearlescent card in one pass using foiling machine.
2.       Trim.
3.       Layer onto matte black, bronze paper and more matte black.
4.       Attach to card blank front and trim.
5.       Add paper bow to one of the hares.




Materials:-

·         Nested Rectangles

·         Glitter Black
·         Card Blank

·         Perga Glue
Instructions:-
1.       Cut ‘Be Still’ once from matte black card and again from black glitter card.
2.       Trim each image using one of the Nested Squares set. This may also be achieved with paper trimmer, craft knife or guillotine.
3.       Apply dots of Perga Glue to reverse of matte image and attach over glitter image, off-setting it slightly. (Make it easier to apply dots of glue by employing the point of a cocktail stick/skewer.)
4.       Apply dots of glue as before and attach to card blank front.
5.       Decorate with gems.

·         Matte Black
·         Gold Mirror

Miscellany:-

·         Perga Glue

Instructions:-

1.       Score cream card down centre and fold to create card blank. Trim to size.
2.       Die-cut two images using ‘The Earth’ die, side by side along short edge of matte black card. Repeat with gold mirror.
3.       Trim birds out from matte black die-cut image and set aside.
4.       Repeat with gold image. Glue this behind the behind the black image to create a highlight.
5.       Attach just beneath card blank fold.
6.       Die-cut two images using ‘Be Still’ die from both gold and black card as in 2.)
7.       Trim out flowers from both gold and black card; place black behind gold and attach to foot of card blank.
8.       Select sentiment from available words and glue in place.

Clarity Stamps - The Rest!

Remaining examples from last week's shows along with details and instructions. 

Materials:-
Dies
·         Happy Birthday Floral Dies and Sentiment
·         Nested Squares
Card/Paper
·         Shenandoah Designer Card
·         1 x 7” x 7” Card Blanks
·         Pink Mirror
·         Pink Pearlescent
Instructions
1.       Cut floral frame from mirror card and trim using Nested Square die.
2.       Attach to Designer Card followed by pink pearlescent.
3.       Add to card blank’
4.       Cut four small corners from metallic pink off-cuts and attach over each corner.
5.       Add sentiment.

Materials:-
Dies
·         Love and Best Wishes Die and Sentiment
·         Nested Squares
Card/Paper
·         Pearlescent A4
·         Silver Mirror Scrap
·         White Vellum
Instructions:-
1.       Using pearlescent card, cut two sheets to measure 15cm x 28cm. Fold in half to make two card blanks measuring 14cm x 15cm.
2.       Score each card front vertically at 7cm.
3.       Place Nested Square Die so that two corners are on the score line. Cut. Repeat with second card.
4.       Attach one card to the other to create gatefold. Cut out aperture from card back using Nested Square. Cut frame using Nested Squares and attach over aperture, sandwiching parchment and material. Cut small square using offcuts and attach to centre.
5.       Cut floral frame 8 times. Create frame using Nested Square, snip out smaller floral corners and reserve.
6.       Cut one frame in half and glue over fold. Repeat.
7.       Add small corners to decorate.
8.       Add sentiment.

·         Pigment Ink – Blue
Card/Paper
·         1 x 7” x 7” card blank
·         Matte Blue
·         Stencil
Miscellany
·         Blue Micron Pen
Instructions:-
1.       Apply pigment ink to stencil and run through die cutting machine. (This print was fourth press.)
2.       Dot outlines using blue Micron pen, trim and edge with blue alcohol marker.
3.       Layer onto blue card, followed by card blank.
4.       Stamp sentiment using third generation ink.

Clarity Stamps - A few favourites.

Clarity Stamps 
Favourites from last week's two hour show and One Day Special with an explanation as to my choice.

A favourite because it worked! Craft Metal - something I brought from Houston, Texas in 2008.
Materials:-
Dies
·         Garden Heart
Canvas
·         1 x 8” x 8”
Card
·         Black Matte
·         Holographic Mirror
Miscellany
·         Craft Metal
·         Double Sided Sticky tape
·         Silver Foil
·         Groovi No 2 Ball Tool/Pergamano No 1 or 1.5
Instructions:-
1.       Cut heart die into centre of craft metal sheet.
2.       Place cut sheet metal, right side up, onto soft side of Groovi mat and emboss dots around heart outline using Groovi No2 ball tool or Pergamano No 1 or 1.5.
3.       Draw a freehand outline around reverse of heart using same ball tool.
4.       Emboss a second row of dots on right side, followed by another outline on reverse.
5.       Cut around second line.
6.       Place strips of double sided tape around edge of black matte card square, mitring corners. Apply foil over and burnish to create silver border.
7.       Mat onto holographic silver card and attach to canvas.


Favoured for its off-set heart!
Materials:-

·         Garden Heart
·         Nested Picot Circles
Card/Paper
·         Card Blank – 1 x 6” x 6”
·         Matte Blue Mirror
·         Glitter Ice Blue
·         Ice Blue Mirror
Instructions:-
1.       Cur Filigree Heart twice each from ice blue glitter card and ice blue mirror card. Retain one image and trim the second to isolate the birds on a branch.
2.       Cut two frames – one wider than the other – one from ice blue mirror card, the other from ice blue glitter card.
3.       Attach frames onto square of matte blue mirror card, measuring 5” x 5” which has been layered onto ice blue glitter card.
4.       Place and attach heart and birds to suit over frames.
5.       Add to card blank. 


Love the colour scheme and also opportunity to isolate smaller die areas to create a pattern reminiscent of Barbara's original corner stamps. 
Materials:-
Dies
·         On Your Special Day Floral Frame and Sentiment
·         Nested Squares
Card/Paper
·         A4 Pearlescent Card (one sheet cut to measure 11 ½ x 27cm; scored at 3, 6, 13, 20 cm and formed into easel card blank.)
·         Grey, Pink Textured card
Instructions:-
1.       Cut floral frame from pink textured card and trim using Nested Square.
2.       Repeat using white pearlescent.
3.       Cut square of grey textured card using Nested Squares die, attach pink/white floral frame over.
4.       Layer pink and grey card to decorate front of easel.
5.       Add small corners to embellish.
6.       Cut two pink and one grey sentiment and attach to centre. 

Colours - remind me so much of childhood holidays, weekends and any other time in between at our summer house/cabin in an Angus glen in a time when, from an early age, we were allowed to 'tramp the hills' unaccompanied. ;~}

·         Rainbow River Designer Card
·         1 x 6” x 6” card blank
·         Pearlescent Card
Colours
·         Metallic Markers
Instructions:-
1.       Cut frame from pearlescent card. Cut out using Nested Square.
2.       Attach over square of Rainbow River paper and add to card blank.
3.       Cut three more floral frames and snip out corners.
4.       Colour with metallic markers.
5.       Add over frame.
6.       Cut sentiment; trim to leave ‘Best Wishes.’ Add to card centre.

Clarity Stamps - Trilogy!

Clarity Stamps - Dies, Stencils, Stamps

A trilogy from last week's Hochanda shows.

Example 1
Materials:-
Dies
·         Thinking of You Die and Sentiment
·         Nested Hearts
Card/Paper
·         1 x 5” x 5” card blank
·         Northern Lights
·         Designer Card
·         Matte Black
·         Pearlescent Teal, Deep Red, Yellow
Miscellany
·         Gems
Instructions:-
1.       Prepare card front - layer square of Northern Lights card onto matte black, turquoise pearlescent, matte black and finally onto card blank.
2.       Cut heart using Nested Hearts set from deep red pearlescent card. From same card, cut floral frame square. Cut same floral frame square from yellow pearlescent card.
To assemble
3.       Cut large corner image from both red and yellow images. Trim. Glue yellow behind red to create a highlight.
4.       Attach heart die-cut onto card front, arrange corner image over and attach.
5.       Trim out small corners from each colour and attach to right corner.
6.       Die-cut sentiment from red and yellow card and attach to suit.
7.       Decorate with gems.

Materials:-

·         Square Heart
Stamps
·         Hearts Sentiment
Ink Pads
·         Dark Purple Pigment Ink
·         Radiance Black
Card/Paper

·         Stencil
·         Sweet Dreams Designer Paper
·         1 x 8” x 8” card black, trimmed
Miscellany
·         Gems
·         Sakura Clear Star Pen
Instructions:-
1.       Ink stencil with pigment ink using brayer.
2.       Add onto stencil card and roll through die-cutting machine.
3.       Cut out central heart.
4.       Stamp sentiment centrally onto second sheet of stencil card and attach main image over using foam pads.
5.       Add gems followed by doodles with Clear Star pen.


Example 3
Materials:-
Stencil
·         Garden Heart
Stamps
·         Garden Heart
Ink Pads
·         Artistry – Blue Chase
·         Dark Blue Pigment ink
Card/Paper
·         Stencil
·         Theuva
·         Sweet Dreams Designer Paper
·         1 x 7” x 7” card blank
Miscellany
·         Clear Embossing Powder
·         Gel Press
·         Gems
Instructions:-
1.       Apply Blue Chase over Gel Press and brayer. Place stencil over.
2.       Cover with a second sheet of stencil card and blot to remove excess ink.
3.       Remove stencil, place over another sheet of stencil card and pull a print.
4.       Edge print with blue Micron pen to create a border and cut out.
5.       Add to card blank, layered with Sweet Dreams paper.
6.       Stamp heart onto Theuva with dark blue ink, add embossing powder and heat set.
7.       Add border with pen, trim, attach to centre of card.
8.       Add gems.
