Hi Shelagh. Your card is very attractive, the colours are gorgeous and I like the way you have done the background. I think it's lovely.

Thank you, Carole. You're very kind to take time to comment. I love adding 3D 'bits' to my work. The colour is a bit of a departure for me too. ;~}
DeleteHi Shelagh, a fabulous compilation od stamps, the birdcage collage sitsreally well on top of the steampunk tree. Love the simple depth you have created in the background with your hand drawn lines, and the edging is very effective.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your entry into the Chocolate Baroque Chalenge, Judith xx
Thank you, Judith. I love combining 'unlikely' images and looking beyond the images. ;~}
DeleteWow! Fabulous work!
ReplyDeleteThank you. ;~}
DeleteWhat a fabulous card Shelagh, I love the dimension you've created, thank you for joining in Chocolate Baroque colour challenge, good luck, Zoe DT member xx
ReplyDeleteHi Zoe and thank you. I'm afraid I'm a bit of a 3D freak and nearly always have additions on my work, all a throwback from my wall displays in my teaching days. ;~}
DeleteHi Shelagh, this is really a super art piece !! Good luck for the challenge :), xx Magda DTmember
ReplyDeleteHi Magda and thank you - I'm a bit disappointed re the colour vibrancy though, as it's much crisper in real life and on the laptop; the iPad somehow drains some of the intensity. ;~}
DeleteStunning project, Shelagh! LOVE what you've done with the image - great dimension and texture. And what a regal colour combo. WOW! Thank you for joining Chocolate Baroque’s 23rd Colour Challenge.

Many thanks, Asha. Colour is much better in real life, not far from what I can see on the laptop. The iPad photo looks a bit dull in comparison although it's the same photo. ;~}
DeleteWOW - Lovely card. Great stamping and colouring. I love how you have layered up images and cut out to create added dimension. Right up my street!Good luck with the Chocolate Baroque Challenge, Anne x.
ReplyDeleteHello Anne and thank you. Find it difficult to make a card without a 3D element! ;~}
