 Example 1

Copper Doves
Materials:-
Dies:-
·         Christmas Rounds - Doves
·         Nested Squares
Card/Paper:-
·         White Parchment
·         Copper metallic
·         Gold Mirror
·         Black matte
·         Cream
·         7ins x 7ins Black card Blank
Instructions:-
1.       Cut frame from gold mirror card using 4th and 5th largest Nested Squares. Cut square from copper metallic card. Cut black square using 3rd and 5th largest Nested Squares. Set aside.
2.       Cut doves into parchment.
3.       Attach frame over parchment and adhere both to copper-coloured square.
4.       Attach this over black matte square then layer onto cream, copper and finally card blank.

 Example 2

Inka Doves
Materials:-

Ink Pads:-

Instructions:-
1.       Cut ‘Doves’ from black card. Ad Inka Gold ‘Gold’ to suit. Cut doves from circle.
2.       Cut frame from gold mirror card using 5th and 4th Nested Square, trimming the outside edges to create a narrower frame.
3.       Cut ‘Poppy Seed Head’ from scrap card, place onto Theuva card and emboss through die-cutting machine. Blend over selected inks lightly.
4.       Mat onto black and white card blank.

 Example 3

Morris Doves!
(Inspiration came from William Morris ‘Strawberry Thief.)
Materials:-

·         Nested Circles
Card/Paper:-
·         Stencil
·         Black Matte

·         Black Card Blank
*I used Clarity Card from my scrap stash which had been ‘adulterated’ with Alcohol Inks, metallic sprays and cling film but there are similar colour patterns to use in Designer Card.*

·         Clarity Double Sided Sticky Sheet
Instructions:-
1.       Mix a few drops of Re-inker into Pearl Modelling Crème. Tape stencil onto Stencil card and smooth modelling crème over. Leave aside to dry.
2.       Cut circle from double sided sticky sheet using 5th largest Nested Circle.
3.        Die-cut Doves from Designer Card or similar, followed by 6th largest Nested Circle; attach to front of double sided sticky circle. Add Pergamano Glitter over and gently rub in to ensure complete adhesion and coverage.
4.       Layer onto white and black circles cut using 3rd and 4th largest Nested Circles.
5.       When dry, trim away blank edges from stenciled image. Cut circle using largest Nested Circle, retaining the remnant. Attach ‘Doves’ circle onto stenciled circle and adhere to centre of 8ins x 8ins black card blank.
6.       Cut stenciled ‘outside’ remainder into four equal corners and glue onto card blank.
7.       Attach flowers to suit.

 Example 4

Noel, Noel
Materials:
Dies:-
·         Christmas Rounds – Deer, Santa (stars only), Stockings (Noel only)
·         Nested Circles
·         Nested Squares

·         Black Card Blank – 5ins x 5ins
·         Acetate
·         Parchment – Pale Blue
·         Metallic Ice Blue – Matte
·         Pearlescent White, Grey

·         Flowers – Bluebell
Instructions:-
1.       Cut 5ins x 5ins card blank in half and cut a frame using 3rd and 5th Nested Squares. Attach over blue parchment then to inside of folded acetate card blank. Stamp sentiment onto parchment to suit.
2.       Cut frame from metallic ice blue card using 4th and 5th largest Nested Squares and attach over acetate front.
3.       Cut ‘Deer’ twice, once from white pearlescent and once from grey. Cut out white deer image from card using 6th largest Nested Circle. Attach centrally inside metallic frame. (I used 3mm red liner tape.) Cut out deer images from grey and add over white – slightly off-set.
4.       Decorate with stars, Noel, gems, ribbon and flowers.

Happy, happy, happy Christmas

Instructions:-
1.       Cut A5 kraft card in half and die-cut Deer from upper centre. Cut deer again from holographic card scrap and attach behind kraft card image.
2.       Cut a circle from black card and place behind kraft card image. Trim to leave a narrow border.
3.       Attach to pearlescent card blank.
4.       Stamp Word Chain sentiment at foot then Mini Word Chain sentiment above.
5.       Add gems and embellishment.
 Example 6

Deer Deer!
Materials:-

·         Nested Circles
·         Nested Squares
·         Leaf
Card/Paper:-
·         Parchment – lemon, white
·         Metallic Blue, Green
·         Gold Dull Metallic
·         White Pearlescent
·         Card Blank – 5ins x 5ins
Miscellany:-
·         Embellished ribbon
Instructions:-
1.       Cut Deer, once from white and once from gold card.
2.       Cut gold image out using 6th largest Nested Circle. Trim out white deer and attach over gold image.
3.       Attach over white parchment and trim around. Set aside.
4.       Cut leaf die from blue and green; attach green over blue and trim around edges.
5.       Adhere onto square of lemon parchment then onto card blank.
6.       Add ‘gem’ ribbon to suit.


Example 7
 Shocking Stocking!

(This was a little bit of off the wall frippery on my part!)
Materials:-
Dies:-
·         Christmas Rounds – Stockings, Deer
·         Nested Circles
Card/Paper:-
·         Red, Holographic Silver Mirror
·         Silver Metallic
Miscellany:-
·         Self-adhesive glitter hearts
Instructions:-
1.       Cut 5ins strip from long side of metallic A4 card. Score across at 5ins, 10ins, 10.5ins and 11ins.
2.       Fold into tent style card – mountain, mountain, valley, mountain folds; select side to cut circle aperture from and cut with 7th largest Nested Circle. Back inside of card – that which is opposite the aperture - with red mirror card.
3.       Cut ‘Stocking’ die from holographic card, trim and glue inside aperture. Glue edges of card together into tent shape.
4.       Cut six sets of antlers from red mirror card and eight sets from holographic card. Cut out all antlers and beginning with holographic images, glue around edge of aperture. Follow with red antlers.
5.       Decorate.

Love at Christmas.
Materials:-

Card/Paper:-
·         Stencil
·         Designer Parchment
·         Pearlescent white
·         6 ins x 6ins Black Card Blank
Miscellany:-
·         Double sided sticky sheet (cut to circle using Nested Circle)
·         Perga Glitter
Instructions:-
1.       Cut circle from centre of pre-prepared Gel Press and scrunched copy paper print with 5th largest Nested Circle and attach piece of Designer Parchment behind.
2.       Cut Santa die, then with 6th largest Nested Circle and place on one exposed side of double sided sticky sheet.
3.       Apply Perga Glitter and gently rub in to adhere. Remove backing and attach to centre of parchment circle.
4.       Attach frame cut from pre-colour blended card with 4th and 5th Nested Square centrally over circle.
5.       Attach circle frame, cut using4th and 5th largest Nested Circle.
6.       Stamp sentiment, layer onto parchment followed by 6ins x 6ins black card blank. 

 Example 9

Christmas Quartet
Materials:-

·         Nested Squares
Card/Paper:-
·         Black Parchment
·         Red, Green mirror
·         8ins x 8ins Black Card Blank
Miscellany:-
·         Self-adhesive gems
Instructions:-
1.       Trim red mirror card just shy of 8ins x 8ins. Attach to front of card blank.
2.       Cut green mirror card slightly smaller than red square at 1). Cut four squares from this using 6th largest Nested Square.
3.       Cut each Christmas die from black parchment; cut one more each of the deer and dove images and reserve.
4.       Attach each parchment image behind each green square frame.
5.       Cut out the deer and dove images and attach over.
6.       Decorate frame with gems.  

Example 10

In a Spin!
Materials:-
Dies:-
·         Christmas Rounds
·         Nested Circles
Card/Paper:-
·         White, Silver Pearlescent
Miscellany:-
·         Silver Twine
Instructions:-
1.       Cut seven circular frames using 4th and 5th largest Nested Circles from white pearlescent card. Score each top and bottom at 2.25 ins. Fold along score line and glue each half frame onto the next until there is a stack of seven.
2.       Cut dove once each from white and silver pearlescent card. Cut white doves image off-centre using 6th largest Nested Circle.
3.       Trim out silver doves and attach over white, threading a single strand of silver twine in between.
4.       Sandwich remaining twine top and bottom inside the circle stack. Glue the first and last circle together.
5.       Add loop to top and tassel to foot.

Light and Shade!
Materials:-
Dies:-
·         Christmas Rounds – Santa, Stocking
Card/Paper:-
·         Acetate (12ins x 12ins)
·         Parchment – Black, Designer
Miscellany
·         Double sided sticky sheet x 2
·         Perga Glitter
·         3mm Red Liner Tape
·         Red Microbeads
·         3 Red Brads
Instructions:-
1.       Draw around shade pattern onto acetate using alcohol marker. Cut out. (I made the shade pattern a couple of years ago for a parchment shade made for the Clarity Challenge DT by drawing round a large circular serving platter for the foot and coffee saucer for the top.)
2.       Apply red liner tape around top, foot and edge. 
1.       Leaving the vertical tape protector in place, remove top and foot protector strips and sprinkle over microbeads, rubbing in gently to adhere.  Repeat with vertical edge.
2.       Cut Santa once and stockings twice each from black and Designer Parchment.
3.       Place Santa image onto double sided sticky sheet and paper-piece into place, Designer Parchment pieces. (Leave areas blank to infill with Perga Glitter.  Repeat with stockings.
4.       Cut out Santa using 6th largest Nested Circle, remove backing and attach to shade. Trim stockings with scissors and attach to shade.
5.       Assemble back of shade with brads. (I had to resort to this as wet glue was unsuccessful and red liner tape not strong enough to hold.)
